Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the Civic Theatre was opened in 1906 and functions as a 1,200 capacity state-of-the-art concert venue for incredible local and international performers. Modular flooring allows the Civic to transform from tiered concert seating to an awe-inspiring reception space for your wedding day. With over 10,000 square feet of event space the Civic can host elegant seated dinners or traditional NOLA style receptions for 100 to 450 guests. Just one block from Poydras Street in the city’s Central Business District, the Civic is walking distance to the French Quarter and surrounded by hotels and attractions for your visiting guests. The Civic's beautiful original all white plaster work and unique architectural touches have been carefully preserved to create an elegant, distinctively New Orleans setting. The harmony between historic architecture and our state-of-the-art audiovisual capabilities, sets the Civic in a category all its own. We recently hosted our wedding at the Civic (August 2021) and it had to be one of the best decisions in regards to our wedding day. The venue has had gorgeous renovations within the last year that really brought a beautiful and unique feel to our wedding
